40 Conversations

In Uncategorized on August 4, 2009 at 1:31 pm

Steve Garber, the author of The Fabric of Faithfulness, has been with the Missouri United campus ministers the past two days talking to us about young adults, vocation, faith, and the universities that we serve.  If you haven’t read the book yet, you should.  It’s the best primer for discipleship with young adults I’ve read and re-read for two reasons:

  1. His deep knowledge and love for young adults and the university
  2. his 30 years of wide experience in discipleship and mentoring.

Over the 40 Days of Prayer, I’m looking to have 40 conversations with church leaders over the future of campus ministry.  The interview with Steve will be the first one.  I’ve been asking people inside and outside the United Methodist Church to have a conversation about the future because I believe we will find the pieces we need in surprising places.

I want to invite you into the 40 Days of Prayer and 40 Conversations about the future of campus ministry.  I’m trusting God to awaken the church’s heart for the university.
